Mrs. Linda McBroom Sharman, 80, of Alexander City passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at her home. Born on October 30, 1944, in Bossier City, LA, Linda's life was a testament to her enduring spirit, her loving nature, and her dedication to her community.
In her professional life, Linda was the respected manager of Anchor Bay Marina on Lake Martin, a role she cherished for over 17 years. Her leadership and warmth became a hallmark of the marina, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who visited. Linda's entrepreneurial spirit also saw her nurturing a beautiful flower shop, embodying her love for nature and beauty. As the seasons shifted, so did Linda’s attention, to the festive joy of operating a Christmas Tree Farm, which became a treasured part of many family traditions.
A diligent and devoted individual, Linda’s interests reflected the grace and tranquility in her heart. She was known for her kind and gentle demeanor, touching the lives of many with her compassion and generosity. Linda's faith played a central role in her life; her knowledge of the Bible was unmatched, often providing comfort and guidance to friends and family through its passages.
Above all, Linda's legacy lies in the love she shared as a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother. Her presence was a source of strength and comfort to her family, whom she supported with unfailing love and wisdom. Her family remembers her as the embodiment of love in action, always putting others before herself.

She is survived by her husband, Michael E Sharman of Alexander City; sons, Bill Vascocu of Sandy Springs, GA and Russell (Christy) Sharman of Cataula, GA; grandchildren, Savannah Sharman and Austin Sharman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that everyone give to their local charities in her memory.
