Larry Paul was a genuine man of many talents, from owning the local hangout 'Scroggins' convenience store to being an impeccable land management expert, grill connoisseur, trusted mechanic, avid hunter, passionate gardener and lover of all classic automobiles, there were very few areas that Larry Paul didn't excel. He loved living and serving others. His smile was truly infectious and drew in everyone around him. Larry Paul deeply loved his one and only daughter, Sam, and favorite son-in-law Brad and would have gone to the ends of the earth for the two people that gave him the honor of G-Daddy, Murphy, & Haver. Above all Larry Paul was a devoted follower of Christ whose best days were spent with his lifelong love and soulmate, as well as, his best friend and wife, Amanda, living on beautiful Lake Martin. To know him was to be on the receiving end of a blessing like no other.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Scroggins of Alexander City; daughter, Samantha S. Spurlin (Brad) of Alexander City; grandchildren, Murphy Lara Spurlin and Haver Bradley Spurlin; sister, Debra Easterwood (Mark) of Jacksons Gap; sister-in-law, Paula Scroggins; brother-in-law, Tommy Sewell and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
