Mr. Larry Denny's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Larry Denny, 67, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Larry Denny, a loving, funny, and handy man, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023. Born on August 25, 1955, in Rockford, AL, Larry was known for his vibrant personality and his knack for storytelling and humor.
Larry's zest for life was evident in his varied interests. He attended Ray Baptist Church and was a passionate outdoorsman who loved to hunt deer and coons. His competitive spirit shone brightly when it came to his beloved coon dogs. A lover of the water, Larry enjoyed riding his pontoon boat and Sea-Doo. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
His love for his family was undeniable. He leaves behind his sons, Michael Denny (Heather) of Talladega and Mark Denney of Rockford; grandchildren, Hannah Denny and Addie Denny; sister, Charlyne DeBardelaben of Rockford, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Ronald Denney. He joined them in Heaven alongside his loving wife, Frankie Armstrong Denny.
Larry was also a gifted handyman, with a remarkable ability to fix anything. His love for talking to people and his knack for telling stories and jokes made him a favorite in any gathering.
His passing leaves a void that will be hard to fill. Yet, Larry Denny's legacy of love, laughter, and handiwork will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
