Mrs. Laney Lee Mask Simpson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Laney Lee Mask Simpson, 79, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Cowhick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simpson passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at her residence. She was born on October 13, 1946, in Alexander City, Alabama to Laney Mask and Cora Lurleen Britton Mask. She was an active member of Alexander City Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Harold (Melanie) Simpson, daughter, Donna Gill, grandchildren, Cole and Mara Hardy Grogan, Christopher (Ayla) Simpson, Charlie (Michael) Speaks, Caycie Simpson, Cage Grogan, Camden Taylor, great-grandchildren, Greyson Speaks, Hayzel Speaks, Evelyn Simpson, Garrett Simpson, Marilyn Simpson, Bailey Simpson, special loved one, Dianne Denham, nieces, Kim (Danny) Wright, Angela Allison, nephews, Steve Scroggins, Bill (Beverly) Tease, Delaney (Jan) Tease, great nieces, Danleigh (Kendall) Wood, Lila Tease, her fur baby, Murphy Simpson, and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon Harold Simpson, sisters, Ann McGill, Nancy Hawkins, and brother, Danny Mask.
Mrs. Simpson was a member of the PBA. She enjoyed eating Dairy Creem, reading, drawing, and spending time with her family at the beach. She also loved her flowers and decorating to make sure that everything was beautiful.
