Born on February 2, 2026, in the warm and welcoming community of Alexander City, Alabama, KJ's journey both began and ended on this day, enveloped in the love and hope of his cherished family.
KJ's family, a tapestry of love and support, remains a testament to his spirited essence. His mother, Savanna Chappell Mulkey, and father, Jacob Mulkey of Daviston, Alabama, stand as pillars of strength and love. His sister, Gracelynn Mulkey, will carry the light of his memory in her bright eyes. The legacy of KJ's character is also reflected in the love of his grandparents Alisia and Bobby Mulkey, Jr., Kim and Chris Chappell, and his great grandparents Sara Lee and Larry Fuller, Brenda and Joe Chappell, Debra and Stanley Dunn, James and Ann Morgan, Crystal and Bobby Mulkey, Sr., alongside his cherished great great grandmother, Irma Latham. His Uncle, Christopher Chappell, and Aunt and Uncle, McKayla and Daylen Maness, along with numerous cousins, great aunts, and uncles, will forever recount the joy he brought to their lives.
KJ's parents’ Christian faith imbues his story with a sense of peace and purpose, assuring those he leaves behind that his journey continues beyond what we can see. His life, though fleeting, was a masterclass in the courage to be, the intelligence of the human spirit, and the undeniable spark that defines a soul.
In the grand tapestry of life, KJ was a vibrant thread, weaving courage through the fabric of his family's lives. In his silence, there was a profound intelligence, a reminder that wisdom does not always come through words, but through presence. KJ's spirit was a mirror reflecting the boundless courage that resides within us all, urging us to embrace every moment with passion and purpose.
Let us honor KJ by living boldly and with an open heart. Let us be spirited in our pursuits, courageous in our challenges, and intelligent in our compassion. KJ's life, though measured in moments, was as grand and impactful as the most enduring of legacies. His spirit, a beacon of light, will continue to guide and inspire his family, reminding them that love knows not the bounds of time.
As we celebrate KJ's life, let us carry forward the lessons of his spirit. Let us be emboldened by his courage, inspired by his intelligence, and uplifted by his spirited nature. KJ, in his brief time with us, taught us the most profound of truths-that every life, no matter how short, is a gift, a catalyst for growth, and a beacon of hope.
In the story of Knox Jacob Mulkey, we find not an ending but a beginning-the dawn of a legacy that will continue to ripple through the lives of those he touched. KJ's journey on earth has concluded, but his story-written in the hearts of his family-will never end.
