Mr. Kevin Hinton's Obituary
Kevin Hinton, a resident of the Tallassee area, passed away December 14, 2025. Kevin was born in Wetumpka March 5, 1985. He lived his entire life in the river region. He attended Wetumpka Schools and graduated from Chapman Christian Academy in 2004. Kevin was an avid tinkerer and spent his vocational life in the field of industrial maintenance. He could literally fix anything and was known for his capacity for problem solving. He was certified in several areas of industrial maintenance and was also a licensed electrician. For several years, he ran a successful Beta farm, hatching and raising the unique tropical fish.
Kevin was happiest when he was helping others. He was always eager and willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and strangers alike. He shared regular visits with his beloved Great aunt Martha Estes especially during her years of residence in the nursing home. Kevin cared for his step-father, John Carter, especially during the last year of John’s life.
Kevin is preceded in death by his mother, Dee Ann Hinton Carter, his birth father, his stepfather, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by one half-brother, Chad Kelly, and a few cousins.
Kevin was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka and had maintained a relationship with St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church of Tallassee for many years.
A Celebration of Life service in his honor will be held Sunday, December 21st at 1:30pm in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka. Memorials for Kevin can be given to First Presbyterian Church of Wetumpka or St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Tallassee.
