Mr. Kenneth Dwight Gamble's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Kenneth Dwight Gamble, 83, of New Site, Alabama, will be Monday, November 7, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Josh Sammons, Rev. Ricky Culp, and Randy Anderson will officiate. He will lie instate at the Church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Gamble passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 15, 1939, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Benjamin Alton Gamble and Annie Louise Vickers Gamble. He was an active member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. He was very involved in New Site and Horseshoe Bend School athletics for many years. He worked for over 50 years as a clerk at Russell Corp. and after retiring worked at Horseshoe Bend School where he touched the lives of and encouraged many young people. He was always highly involved in the activities of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved his wife and family and always expressed that to them.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Billie Joyce Gamble of New Site; daughters, Vickie Ann Clark (Billy), Lisa Joyce Ruff (Robert), and Keely Faith Kinman (Andy) all of New Site; Grandchildren, Seth Clark (Tiffany), Shelly Dennis (David), Sheena Hunter (Scott), Reese Claybrook, Maggie Ruff, Korbin Kinman, Karsen Kinman, Kirby Ard; great-grandchildren, Clark Dennis, Georgia Claire Dennis, John Gamble Dennis, Harper Hunter, Harrison Hunter, Kenneth Hayes Hunter, Janie Ann Clark, and Preston Mac Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and children Kathy Gamble and John Keith Gamble.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church 7779 Sanford Rd Alexander City, AL 35010.
The family would like to express thanks to the Staff of Enhabit Hospice especially Jinnie Trapp, Jared Baker, Mabel Smith. Crystal Pemberton and Christy Stone were also instrumental in providing care and the family will be forever grateful for them.
