Mrs. Kathryn Elaine Bassett's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Kathryn Elaine Bassett, 75, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Marshall Street Church. Bro. Leland Sapp will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bassett passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her residence. She was born on August 27, 1947 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Thomas Floyd McClure and Nirene Thompson McClure. She was an active member of Marshall Street Church and loved her church dearly. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and helping with the church card ministry. She deeply loved her children, husband and family. She loved the Lord above everything else and will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Lee Bassett, Jr. of Alexander City; daughter, Janice Carol Hanna (Michael) of Millbrook; son, James Edwourd Bassett of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Breanna Marie Bassett and Garrett Tait Bassett; great grandson, Mason Bassett; sister, Rebecca McClure; ten first cousins, and a host of other cousins, family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
