Ms. Joyce Ann Bence's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Joyce Ann Bence, 71, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, August 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Josh Sammons, Rev. Jeremy Jones, and Rev. Chase Clower will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Ms. Bence passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her residence. She was born on December 7, 1950, in Alexander City, Alabama to George Washington Patten and Bertha Lois Clark Patten. She was a member of Family Worship Center. Ms. Joyce enjoyed shopping, watching Hallmark movies, and playing Rook. She also enjoyed decorating especially at Christmas and was always busy. She was always thrilled to get baked goods from her youngest great-niece, Lacy.
She is survived by her sister, Elaine Campbell of Alexander City; brother, Wade Patten (Ginger) of Alexander City; special cousin, Jackie Whatley (Mike); nieces, Crystal Jones (Jeremy), Tina Brown (Don), and Erica Sammons (Josh); seven great-nieces and a large extended family,
She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew, Shane Campbell, and brother-in-law Tommy Ray Campbell.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Russell Medical Cancer located at 3316 US 280 Alexander City, AL 35010.
