Mr. Scott Buchanan's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Joseph Scott Buchanan, 44, of Equality, Alabama, will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lindsey Family Cemetery in Equality. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Scott Buchanan passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. Born on May 29, 1980 in Greenville, Kentucky, he was the son of Joseph Lee Buchanan and Laura Chappell Buchanan. Scott was a man of faith who graduated from Faith Bible College and was a member of New Life Baptist Church. He was employed with Central Alabama Wood Products. In his spare time, he enjoyed mud racing and hunting deer. Scott loved people and was always willing to help anybody that needed him. His outgoing personality, mixed with his natural sense of humor, made him a great person to be around. Scott respected everybody, regardless of who they were, and he never missed the opportunity to make you laugh.
Scott is survived by his mother, Laura "Susie" Buchanan; father, Joseph Lee Buchanan; brothers, Jeffrey "Jeff" Lee Buchanan, Jimmy Lee Buchanan; sisters, Lisa Buchanan, Kelly Buchanan; ten nieces and nephews; and lots of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
