John I. Argo Jr.'s Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. John I. Argo Jr., 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Argo passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born on October 31, 1943 in Alexander City, Alabama to John I. Argo, Sr. and Nellie Still Argo. He was a member of Cornerstone First Global Methodist Church. Johnny was a proud graduate of Auburn University and was an avid Auburn fan. He worked at Russell Corporation for 30+ years and retired as the Operating Vice-President of Knitting. He enjoyed gardening, cutting grass, woodworking and watching NASCAR. The highlight of his day was his daily trip to the mailbox on his lawnmower. He was a very sweet man and loved his family greatly.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Hardy Argo; sons, Patrick Keith Argo and Jon Kevin Argo; grandchildren, Madalyn Argo (Connor) Smith and Jordan Keith (Keeley) Argo; and brother, Richard Argo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, David T. Argo.
