Joanne Stroud Cox's Obituary
Graveside Service for Ms. Joanne Stroud Cox, 77, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Hillview Memorial Park. Dr. Josh Sammons will officiate.
Ms. Cox passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Brown Nursing Home. She was born on October 30, 1946 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Morris Stroud and Myrtie Ruth Thomas Stroud. She attended Calvary Heights Baptist Church. Joanne worked as a nurse for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Kevin Scott and Danny Keith Scott; grandchildren, Sawyer Frederick Scott and Jacob Carl Scott; and seven siblings, Morris Ronald Stroud, Brenda Stroud Richardson (Chuck), Jerry Wade Stroud (Derinda), James Randall Stroud, Roger Lynn Stroud, Wanda Ruth Stroud, and Jeffery Wade Stroud (Sharon).
She was preceded in death by her parents.
