Mrs. Joan C. Hardman's Obituary
Funeral service for Mrs. Joan C. Hardman, 83, of Goodwater, will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Goodwater Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Fain and Rev. Wayne Henderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hardman passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence. She was born on January 25, 1931 in the Bradford Community to Timmons James Carlton and Pearl Farris. She was an active member of Goodwater Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardman was a homemaker and very supportive minister’s wife. Her joy in life was her God, church, and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Billy Herbert Hardman of Goodwater; daughters, Jennifer Knellinger (Dan), of Palm Harbor, FL and Cathy Bolton of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Stacey Verkler (Brandon), Bart Knellinger (Mary), Jill Schmidt (Jared), Carol Bou-Sliman (Andrew), Sarah Katherine Bolton; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Verkler and Samuel Verkler; sister, Madelyn Jones of Tuscaloosa; and brother, Cecil Carlton of Clanton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Hardman; son-in-law, Art Bolton; sisters, Audy Hayes, Ruth Dark, Noba Dugard, Betty Caldwell and brother, Dayne Carlton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Goodwater Baptist Church, P.O. Box 283, Goodwater, AL 35072.
