Mr. Jimmy McGrady's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Jimmy McGrady, 79, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, October 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Minister Clarence Denney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. McGrady passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Russell Medical. He was born on August 18, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Roy DeWitt McGrady and Pauline Stephens McGrady. Mr. McGrady loved his family dearly and was known as “Mac” by his friends. He retired from Russell Lands after 33 years of service, he proudly served his Country by serving in the United States Air Force and was a member of Hillabee Baptist Church. Mr. McGrady enjoyed hunting, working on, and restoring tractors and Wheel Horse lawnmowers, gardening and being outdoors. Mr. McGrady was a craftsman, making many wood projects and beautiful toolboxes.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce M McGrady; sons, William McGrady and Jeremy McGrady both of Alexander City, Alabama; sister, Barbara M. Baker of Wetumpka, Alabama; sister-in-law; and brother-in-law; Wanda and Dan Baker of Ashland, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Michael Baker.
