Mrs. Jewel Dean Denney, affectionately known as Jewel Dean to her friends and family, lived a life that was as radiant as her name. Born on March 12, 1935, in the heart of Tallapoosa County, Alabama, to Charles Fielder Thornell, Sr. and Annie Jewel Tinsley Thornell, she blossomed into a beacon of love and gentility that illuminated the lives of all who knew her. On February 5, 2026, in Alexander City, Alabama, Jewel Dean closed her eyes to this world, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will continue to inspire for generations.
