Mr. Jerry Lynn Norton's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Jerry Lynn Norton, 72, of Alexander City, Alabama will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Brian Steen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Norton passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Bethany House. He was born on May 17, 1950 in Randolph County, Alabama to Albert and Lois Johnson Norton. Jerry was a Vietnam War Army Veteran. He loved his family dearly, especially his granddaughter. He enjoyed reading, cooking, working in the yard, growing flowers, working on lawnmowers, driving fast, and had a very special love for all his animals.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Norton; daughter, Melanie Norton Humphrey (David); granddaughter, Nola Grace Humphrey; sister, Sarah Hurley; brother, Clifford Norton; mother-in-law, Helon Denney; sisters in law, Judy Martin (Houston) and Martha Anderson; brother-in-law, Doug Denney (Peggy); and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jimmie Sutton and Betty Slay; and brother, Bill Norton.
The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to all the Staff of Bethany House.
