Mrs. Jeanette McDaniel Headley's Obituary
Funeral service for Mrs. Jeanette McDaniel Headley, 82, of Hickory, will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Allen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alexander City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMrs. Headley passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. She was born on August 3, 1929 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Guy D. McDaniel and Maggie Lucille Ashworth McDaniel. She graduated from Alexander City High School Class of 1947. At her death, Jeanette Headley was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in LaFayette, Alabama. While a member of the Alexander City Chapter, she served in every office at the local level and was elected and served as Grand Ruth, an office in the Grand Chapter of the State of Alabama. Her son, daughter-in-law, and two daughters are also members of the O. E. S. Her son, Robert T. Headley, presently serves as the Grand Potentate of the State of Florida Shriners, an organization affiliated with the Masons and the Eastern Star.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her daughters, Claudia Headley Nail (Thomas) of Hickory, NC, Hilda Lucille "Lucy" H. O'Neil (Paul) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Alison H. Griffin (Joel) of Dadeville; son, Robert Taylor Headley (Laura) of Titusville, FL; grandchildren, Thomas E. Nail, Louann N. Bernstone (Josh), and Amy J. Nail all of North Carolina; Hilda Headley of Clearwater, FL, Rachel H. Loeffler (Casey), of Titusville, FL; Paul O'Brian O'Neal III, Margaret “Maggie” O’Neal, Robert O'Neal (Josey), and Michael O'Neal all of Winston-Salem, NC, and Virginia Jeanette Baker, USAF of Warrenburg, MO; 11 Great-Grandchildren; brother-in-law, William V. "Billy Vaughn" Headley (Anita) of Newnan, GA; and cousins, Ruth Templeton Thomas and Billy Ashworth both of Alexander City, Larry McDougal of Morganton, NC, Charlotte Speltz of Apex, NC, and Joe McDougal of New Orleans, LA.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents.\r\n\r\nThe family requests no flowers but love offerings in the name of Jeanette McDaniel Headley may be mailed to any of the following: Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Hwy 49, Dadeville, AL with envelopes provided at the funeral; Tampa Shriners' Hospital, 12502 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612; Forsyth Medical Center Foundation Palliative Care Gift Fund, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27199-2129; or to Palliative Care Center and Hospice Of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658-9715.
