Mrs. Janice Golden Whetstone's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Janice Fedulia Golden Whetstone, 71, of Kellyton, will be Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kellyton Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whetstone passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born on April 10, 1951 in Alexander City to Albert Jefferson Hamlet and Katherine Willoughby Hamlet Hester. Janice was a woman of faith, and a very strong-willed woman with a love for life. She enjoyed cooking and going to listen to live music.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Whetstone of Kellyton; daughter, Ann Golden Stewart (Keith) of New Site; sons, Allen Albert Golden (Jennifer) of Alexander City, Joseph Ray Golden (Linda) of Alexander City, Jonathan Dale Golden (Susan) of Kellyton, and Jeremiah Larry Golden of Alexander City; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Thurman Rex Hamlet (Brenda) of Alexander City, Kathy Hamlet Powell of Alexander City, Cynthia Hamlet Hill of Wadley, Jeff Stanley Hamlet (Cynthia) of Wadley, Amy Hamlet Adams (Mike) of Alexander City; and sister-in-law, Susan Hamlet of Alexander City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elvin Albert Hamlet.
