Funeral Service for Ms. Jane Lashley, 71, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11:00 am at Flint Hill Church. Rev. John Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.
A beacon of selflessness and generosity, Ms. Jane passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, in her hometown of Alexander City, AL. Born on May 17, 1952, to John L. and Francis Wilson Turner, Jane's life was a testament to her loving nature and unwavering spirit.
Jane was a proud alumna of Alexander City Junior College, where she earned her associate degree before embarking on a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper. Her professional dedication was matched only by her commitment to Flint Hill Church, where she was not just a member but a cherished part of the church family.
Known for her loving heart, Jane was a devoted mother and grandmother whose presence radiated warmth and kindness. Her tireless work ethic and generous soul left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Jane's legacy will be carried forward by the many lives she touched with her boundless love and the memories cherished by her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Jeremiah Lashley of Alexander City; grandchildren, Dillon Lashley and Thomas Lashley both of Alexander City; friend, Carol Hope Tyler (Mark) of Carrollton, GA; and sister-in-law, Joyce Turner of Alexander City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Jerry Turner, Diane Garrett, and Larry Turner.
