Funeral Service for Mr. James “Jamie” Tate, 53, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Paul East will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Tate passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at University of Alabama Hospital (Birmingham). He was born on February 24, 1968 in Panama City, Florida to James Mitchell Tate and Alice Gale East Tate. Jamie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, playing cards with family and friends and family gatherings playing spirited games of cornhole.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Darlene Tate; father, James Mitchell Tate (Mae); daughters, Brittany Tate, Kristin Tate (Devin), Alison Chambers (Clayton); brother, Michael Tate (Diane); stepsisters, Shirley Ann Blankenship (Mark), Cathy Suggs (Bill); granddaughters, Brooklyn Chambers, Layla Chambers, Raylee Chambers, Riley Keener, Savannah Keener; nephew, Tommy Tate Jr.; nieces, Susan Brown (Andrew), Cassandra Mason (Jeremy) and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Gale Tate and brother Tommy Tate.
All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
