Mr. James Rodney Hilyer's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. James Rodney Hilyer, 57, of New Site, Alabama, will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Harold Cummings and Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Hilyer passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Russell Medical. He was born on April 10, 1960 in Ashland, Alabama to James Earl Hilyer and Sarah Jo Hilyer. He was an active member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Hilyer of New Site; daughters, Jami Young (Tim) and Kristi Yarbrough (Joseph) all of Alexander City; grandchildren, Brady Alford, Weston Blake Young, and Brantley Young; great-grandchild, Kyleigh Alford; in-laws, James and Diane Mahan of New Site; brothers, Henry Hilyer, Marty Hilyer, and Jamie Hilyer; sister, Kathy Alford; and sister-in-law, Kim Welch (Joe).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Radney Funeral Home P.O. Box 99 Alexander City, AL 35011 to assist with funeral expenses.
