Mr. James H. Heath's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. James H. Heath, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 11:30 am at the Kellyton Church of God. Rev. Fred Nichols, Rev. Flemon Ard and Rev. Gary Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Kellyton Church of God. The Alexander City Veteran’s Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Mr. Heath passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Russell Medical. He was born on December 7, 1941 in Talladega, Alabama to J.T. Heath and Dorothy Marie Owens Heath. He served as a Pastor for 36 years of which eleven were at the Kellyton Church of God where he was currently pastoring. James was a Godly man who Loved our Savior and had a passion for leading others to Christ. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and received the Vietnam Service Medal as well and Expert Marksman Medal for the M-14. After serving our country he went to work for the Army Corp of Engineers and was employed there for 26 years. He was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan and had a room in his house devoted to his Crimson Tide.
James was a wonderful loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family meant the world to him, and he will be missed!!
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judith Heath; daughters, Patricia Gale Fuller (Darren), Pamela Ann McClellan; son, Michael James Heath (Kelly); grandchildren, Aaron Heath (Alicia), Blake McClellan (Taylor), Hunter Heath (Mackenzie), Shane Fuller, Bradley Fuller, Jacob Heath; great-grandchildren, Tyanna Pipestem, Erika Follet, Sophia McClellan and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Marie Heath; parents; sisters, Edna Smith, Betty Wheatcraft, Joyce Leggett, Bobbie Griffin and brothers, Joe Heath and Robert Heath.
