Mr. James Lee Bassett Jr.'s Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. James Lee Bassett, Jr., 85, of Alexander City, will be Friday, June 19, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Bro. Leland Sapp will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Bassett, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home (Alexander City). He was born on September 15, 1940 in Randolph County to James Lee Bassett, Sr. and Francis Baker Bassett. He was an active member of Connect Church.
He is survived by his son, James Edwourd Bassett, daughter, Janice Bassett (Michael) Hanna, granddaughter, Breanna Bassett, grandson, Garrett Bassett, great-grandson, Mason Bassett, and his niece and nephew and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Elaine Bassett, sister, Katheryn Ann Brown, and his parents.
