Mr. James Porter "Jimmy" Abram's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. James Porter "Jimmy" Abram, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Albert Pike and Pastor Ronnie Palmer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Abram passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born on June 1, 1941 in Coosa County, Alabama. He was a faithful member and Deacon of Ray Baptist Church. Jimmy believed in hard work and was a brick mason for many years. He loved his family and nothing made him smile more than time spent with his grandchildren. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, racing go-carts and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vickie Taylor Abram; daughters, Lisa Abram Branch (Dennis) and Mandy Abram Ezekiel (Matt); son, Ricky James Abram (Benita); grandchildren, Ryan Taylor Andrews (Quint), Nick Gage Abram (Chasity), Saylor Alane Neese (Jason), Bradley Wayne Ezekiel and, Ansley Lisa Ezekiel; great-grandchildren, Davis William Andrews, Addison Lisa Andrews, Leah Rose Abram, and Callie Grace Abram; and sister, Linda Kay Dennis.
He was preceded in death by his father, V.O. Abrams; and mother and step-father, Lector Elene Machen and Ernest Machen.
