Mrs. Inez Vaughn Shockley's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Inez Vaughn Shockley, 94, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Jones and Dr. Albert Pike will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shockley passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on November 2, 1925 in Talladega County, Alabama to Frank Vaughn and Mary Cecil Presley Vaughn. She was a member of Ray Baptist Church. Inez was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed canning vegetables for her family and socializing with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Cannon of Millbrook, Vicky S. (Ken) Sharpe of Alexander City, and Cathy J. (Andy) Hughes of Rockford; grandson, Chris (Elizabeth) Cannon, granddaughter, Brandy (Brad) Dunham; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Cannon, Mason Cannon, Addison Cannon, and Rylee Dunham; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grady Shockley; parents; brother, Calvin Vaughn; sisters, Katherine Huckabee, and Odell Moody, and son-in-law, Eddie Cannon.
