Mrs. Inez Norton Clayton's Obituary
Graveside service for Mrs. Inez Norton Clayton, 94, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 am at Hillview Memorial Park with Rev. Kevin Payne officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMrs. Clayton passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Russell Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1915 in Cleburne County, Alabama to William Albert Norton and Emma Elizabeth Norton. She was a member of Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church and retired from Russell Mills. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery, flower gardening and cooking for her family and friends. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her sons, Frank (Linda) Clayton of Montgomery and Mack (Fran) Clayton of Alexander City; grandchildren, Cindy (Mike) Livings of Vero Beach, FL, Colleen Thompson of Opelika and Adam Clayton of Birmingham; great grandchildren, Michael Livings of Groton, CT, Lindsay Ann Livings of Huntsville, Laurie Livings of Vero Beach, FL and Cely and Alec Thompson of Auburn; sister, Evelyn Kirby of Bowdon, GA; brothers, Luther (Shirley) Norton of Minneapolis, MN and Ralph (Berniece) Norton of Bowdon, GA and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wilson Clayton, brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Margaret Norton of Oxford and brother-in-law, Harold Kirby of Bowdon, GA.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Runas Powers, the staff of Russell Medical Center and the staff of Chapman Healthcare Center.
