Mrs. Iladine Reneau Hutcherson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Iladine Reneau Hutcherson, 97, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Pritchard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hutcherson was born on October 29, 1924 in Oneonta, AL to John Carroll and Letha Eva Hullett Reneau. She passed away at her home on February 24, 2022 at the age of 97. She attended school at Blount County High School. She married Sheldon Elliott Hutcherson on November 30, 1946. She was a lifelong Methodist with a great grandfather who was a circuit riding Methodist pastor and an uncle who was a United Methodist minister. She was very active in her church, Comer Memorial UMC until becoming physically unable to attend at age 93. Her hobbies included bowling, fishing, and gardening. She was an excellent cook noted for her cornbread, sweet potato souffle and lane cake.
She is survived by her sons John Stephen Hutcherson (Linda) and James Elliot Hutcherson; grandsons, James Ronald Meadors, Jr. (Amber) and Jeremie Scott Meadors (Bridgette); great grandsons, Austin Meadors (Julie), Seth Meadors (Tiffani), Spencer Meadors, Barron Meadors, Carson Bishop, and Conner Bishop; great granddaughters, Malorie Meadors and Payton Meadors; great great granddaughter Paislee Meadors; nephews Tim McCollum (Jean) and Sheldon Hutcherson (Rebecca); nieces Susan McCollum Miklic and Amy Hutcherson Curlee (Todd) and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sheldon Hutcherson; three sisters, Justine Reneau Hutcherson, Mavis Reneau McCollum, and Jonnie Mae Reneau; niece, Janice Hutcherson; nephew, Mike McCollum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Comer Memorial United Methodist Church 427 E. Church St, Alexander City, AL 35010.
