Graveside service for Mr. Horace J. Lamberth, 81, of Rockford, will be Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Friendship Methodist Cemetery in Titus, AL. Bro. Jeff Hardy, Bro. Gerald Wood and Fred Callaway will officiate. \r\n\r\nMr. Lamberth passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at UAB Hospital. He was born on December 9, 1928 in Coosa County, Alabama to Johnny Lawson Lamberth and Susan Doris Colquitt Lamberth. He was a farmer and loved his cows. He loved to garden and loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was a fan of Atlanta Braves baseball. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Dovie Jewel Streetman Lamberth; sons, Joseph Dale Lamberth (Betty) of Wetumpka, Thomas Lawson Lamberth of Titus and Horace Allan Lamberth (Debra) of Rockford; daughters, Pamela Dianne Ray (Jim) of Sylacauga and Paula Sue Neighbors (Joel) of Hanover; foster children, Brenda Tinney, Joanne Winslett and Richard Winslett; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Brenda Gail Lamberth.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friendship Cemetery Fund or to Sardis Baptist Church.
