Mr. Homer Lynn Jones' Obituary
Mr. Homer Jones was born on September 28, 1937 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Homer Jones and Mary Sue Joiner Jones. He passed away at the age of 83 at Baptist South in Montgomery.
Visitation for Mr. Homer Jones will be on Thursday, May, 27, 2021 at Radney Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Homer retired from the United States Navy after serving 22 years for his country. During his military term he served during the Cuban Conflict. After his retirement he worked for Russell Mills as a boiler room supervisor retiring after 28 years and later went on to work for Robinson Iron as a welder. He was known in the community as one of the hardest working men you have ever met. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather who made his family the center of his whole world. Homer never met a stranger, had a great sense of humor and was willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Randy Jones and Kayla Galloway; great-grandchildren, Jessie Jones, Aaliyah Landry, Ja'kya Landry, Lillian Jones, Zadyn Landry; brothers, Paul, Douglas, David and Donald Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Jones; son, Joseph Jones, Ronald Jones, Freddie Jones; parents; brothers, Edward and Denson Jones and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Jones and Gailya Sanford.
