Henry Lee Bryan's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Henry Lee Bryan, 78, of Daviston, Alabama, will be Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Bryan passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at his residence. He was born on October 8, 1945, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Audrey Askew Bryan and Geneva Hand Bryan. He grew up attending church at Zion Hill. He later became an active member of Mt. Moriah Church where he served as an elder. He loved his church family and worshiping God with them.
Henry met his now wife of 55 years at a high school basketball game and began a six-month courtship. They married on July 19, 1968, and began a life full of memories and love. They moved to the country and started raising and training horses. His love of the outdoors led him to enjoy hunting, gardening, and raising chickens. Henry was always a Godly man and instilled those values in his son.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bryan; son, Josh A. Bryan (Kathy); grandson, Brody Lee Bryan; sisters and brothers, Janett Bailey, Geraldean Stevens, Sonny Bryan, Bobbie Nell Davis, Mary Ruth Parrott, Jim Bryan, Brenda Green, Ralph Bryan, Martha Peters, Geneice Griffin; nephew, Brent Fuller; niece, Karin Fuller; Keith Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to express their heartfelt "Thank You" to the wonderful staff and nurses at Ivy Creek Hospice for the care given to their loved one.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to any local humane shelter or rescue.
