Mrs. Hellen Jean Rhodes' Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Hellen Jean Rhodes, 94, of Alexander City, will be Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Hillivew Memorial Park. Bro. Ray Dunn will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
Mrs. Rhodes passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on November 1, 1930 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Otis Camp and Ida Pearl Wesson Brooks. Hellen owned and operated Hellen’s Beauty Salon for many years and was a mentor to many cosmetologists throughout the years. She had a great sense for fashion and loved her jewelry. She was a great homemaker and a wonderful wife and mom.
She is survived by her son, Robert Gerald Rhodes; and niece, Gail Hook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Robert Rhodes; and sister, Mildred Vickers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choice.
