Mrs. Helen Jones' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Helen Jones, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. John Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at her residence. She was born on April 28, 1941, in Talladega County, Alabama to J.B. Wooten and Mildred Lee Wells Wooten. She attended Victory Baptist Church. Helen loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always grew vegetables in her garden and enjoyed canning those for her family. Her hobbies included reading, working crossword puzzles and growing flowers.
She is survived by her children; Gregory Bruce Jones (Flo), Pamela K. Mann, David Wayne Jones; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Arnold "Bunk" Wooten (Doris), Jerry Wooten, Larry Wooten (Lurie) and sisters, Jeanette Gambrell and Joyce Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Clifford Bruce Jones; parents; son, Timothy Bruce Jones; daughter, Marsha Yvonne Davis and sister, Judy Bates.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the wonderful staff at Ivy Creek Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to their loved one.
