Visitation for Mr. Harry Lee Price, 78, of Hackneyville, will be Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Harry Lee Price, known affectionately as Harry Lee, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023, in Montgomery, Alabama. Born on December 2, 1944, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, Harry Lee was a loving, kind, and thoughtful man who touched the lives of many.
Harry Lee is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Dorothy Joanett Johnson Price. Their love story was one of enduring commitment and mutual respect. Their bond was further strengthened by their daughters, Vickie Price Johnsey, and her husband, Heath and the late Glenda Price Mascari and her husband, Rusty. Harry Lee's joy was magnified by his grandson, Tyler Johnsey, who brought an added sparkle to his eye. Harry Lee also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Hubert Johnson, Jr. (Tanya), and his sisters-in-law, Deborah Dennis (the late Mike Dennis), Evelyn Adams (the late Jack Adams), Nancy Price (the late James Lewis Price), and Shirley Price (the late Billy Ray Price). He was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly.
Harry Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Holice Price and Linnie B. Watts, his daughter, Glenda Price Mascari, his brothers, Billy Ray Price, James Lewis Price, Bobby Gene Price, and his sister, Edna Mae Cooley. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and their memories were cherished by him.
Harry Lee was a dedicated employee at Russell Corporation, where he worked in the Cloth Room for over 40 years. His work ethic was unmatched, and he was respected by his colleagues for his commitment and dedication. His professional life was marked by a sense of duty and a commitment to excellence, traits that he carried into his personal life as well.
Outside of work, Harry Lee enjoyed being in the woods, hunting for the big buck. He was an avid golfer, playing almost every day. His love for the game was infectious, and he spent countless hours on the green, perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow golfers. He was also a passionate fan of Alabama football, and he never missed a game. His enthusiasm for his team was contagious, and he was known to cheer the loudest when they scored.
Harry Lee was a man of many virtues, but his loving nature, kindness, and thoughtfulness stood out the most. He had a heart full of love for his family and friends, always putting their needs before his own. His kindness was evident in his everyday actions, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His thoughtfulness was reflected in his attention to detail, whether it was remembering a loved one's favorite dessert or planning a surprise outing for his wife.
Harry Lee Price was a man who lived his life with purpose and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. His passing is a loss to all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories of his loved ones.
