Mr. Harlan Coker Allen's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Harlan Coker Allen, 73, of Daviston, will be Monday, August 4, 2025 at 5:00 pm at the  New Site Harmony Methodist Church.  Rev. David Sherrell and Rev. Kenneth Fuller will officiate.
Mr. Harlan Coker Allen, known affectionately to friends and family as Coker, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on February 7, 1952, Coker was a beacon of wisdom and love throughout his life, touching the hearts of all who knew him with his faith-filled spirit and generous nature.
Coker is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 38 years, Elaine Allen of Daviston, AL, and his cherished children, Clay (Kara) Allen of Daviston, AL and Jamie (George) Piper of Mobile, AL. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Savanna Claire Allen, Isabel Piper and Madelyn Piper who will carry forward the light of his love and guidance.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Emma Frances Allen and Joseph H. Allen, who laid the foundations of his strong character and unwavering faith.
Coker was a proud member of the Mt. Eagle Masonic Lodge 185, where he served with honor and distinction, exemplifying the values of brotherhood, truth, and charity. His commitment to his community was further evidenced by his active involvement in the New Harmony Methodist Church, where he was a source of support and inspiration for many.
A Christian by faith, Coker's life was a testament to the power of belief and the strength that comes from a life well-lived in service to others. His loving nature was evident in every interaction, and his wisdom was sought after by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Coker's faith-filled journey on earth was marked by an unwavering trust in his Savior, and he instilled this same conviction in his family and friends.
To know Coker was to know a man who embodied the virtues of kindness, patience, and humility. He approached every day with a sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact on the world around him. His laughter was infectious, his counsel was invaluable, and his presence was a comfort to all.
As we bid farewell to Mr. Harlan Coker Allen, we reflect on a life that was truly well-lived. We take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide us, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those he loved. Coker's journey on earth has ended, but his story will be recounted for generations to come, a narrative of a man who was the very embodiment of love, wisdom, and faith.
