Mr. Grady Osborn's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Grady Oneal Osborn, 84, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Chase Clower and Rev. Shane Dye will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Osborn passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1940 in Wadley, Alabama to Silas Lee Osborn and Annie Smith Osborn. He was a faithful member of Hillabee Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Grady loved to watch westerns on TV. He was very civically minded, always keeping up with the latest in the political landscape. Grady enjoyed turkey hunting in his spare time. He was also an avid collector of Native American artifacts. Grady loved to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheliah (Billy) Meigs of Daviston; son, Brian (Cindy) Osborn of Alexander City; grandchildren, Shane (April) Dye, Shea (Doni) Dye, and Leah Osborn; great-grandchildren, Hannah (Logan) Blair, Ashley (Tyler) Shurum, Parker (Tori) Dye, Lauren Dye, Luke Dye, Faith Dye, and Tucker Dye; great-great-grandchildren, Abigail Shurum, Evelyn Blair, Greyson Shurum, and Elodie Blair; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie Mallory; brothers, Earl Osborn, Fred Osborn, and Nolan Osborn.
