Glenn Mann, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away surrounded by his loving family, leaving behind a legacy of courage, love, and an unwavering dedication to his family and community. Born to the late Jessie Howard Mann and Ollie Mae Mann, Glenn was a beacon of strength and handiness, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement.
Glenn graduated from Hackneyville High School, where he formed friendships and values that lasted a lifetime. He dedicated 41 years of service to Russell Corporation, where his work ethic and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a respected member of the community, always ready to support his colleagues and friends.
A man of many interests, he found peace and joy in the simple pleasure of playing golf, shooting matches, and racing go-karts. His love for the outdoors was matched by his meticulous care for his yard, which he kept immaculate, and his enjoyment of cutting grass. Glenn's culinary skills shone during family gatherings, where he loved to cook on the grill or host a fish fry, creating memories that his family will treasure forever.
Family beach trips were among Glenn's favorite times, as they combined his love for family with the serenity of the ocean. His love for animals was just as strong, especially for his dogs, which he trained with patience and affection. Glenn was the epitome of a family man, always putting his loved ones first and ensuring they felt his love and support in all their endeavors.
Glenn's legacy will be carried on by his devoted spouse, Sallie Mann of Alexander City; his sons, Chris (Bridget) Mann of Alexander City, AL, and Keith (Jennifer) Mann; his grandchildren, Brett Mann, Bradley (Ali) Mann, Brayden Mann, Brooke (Andrew) Bizilia, and Brady Mann; his great-grandchild, Sawyer Mann; and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Recie) Mann, Misha (Chris) Pruitt, Dana (Bethany) Jones, and Beth Jones.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Mann; his sister, Diane Jones; and his nephew, Dereck Jones. Glenn's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched.
