A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Glenda Jean Cooper, 80, of Jacksons Gap, will be Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the River Road Baptist Church. Bro. Nate Phillips and Rev. Thad Blount will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at River Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Glenda Cooper, a beacon of faith and selfless generosity, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life of devotion, not only to her cherished River Road Baptist Church but also to the beautiful world she tended as an avid gardener. Glenda found joy in the simplicity of sewing, the thrill of uncovering treasures at estate sales, and above all, in the bustling energy of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's lives.
Every day, Glenda dedicated time to studying her Bible, embodying the virtues within its pages, and enriching the lives of those around her. She was known for her unwavering faith, her giving spirit, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. In her remarkable journey, Glenda always placed the needs of others before her own, touching countless hearts and leaving behind a legacy of love and grace that will be dearly remembered and deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Cooper of Jacksons Gap; sons, Malcolm (Wendy) Cooper of Trussville and Steve (Monica) Cooper of Alexander City; daughter, Kathy (Scott) Hamlet of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Corey (Megan) Cooper, Courtney Cooper, Colby Cooper, Katie (Nate) Billups, Allee Cooper, Kristi (Zac) Guilbault, Hunter Donaldson, and Houston Donaldson; great-grandchildren, Hallie Brooke Cooper, Eli Cooper, Isaiah Cooper, Taylor Cooper, Riley Jade Guilbault, and Charlotte Scott Guilbault and one great-grandchild soon to be born, Hunter Wayne Cooper; sister-in-law, Mattie Jean (Kenneth) Welch; brother-in-law, JDanny (Diane) Cooper; and her beloved pet, Josie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
