Mr. George Clarence Williams Jr.'s Obituary
Graveside memorial service for Mr. George Clarence Williams Jr., 64, of Cullman, and formerly of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at Hillview Memorial Park. Dr. Todd Henderson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMr. Williams passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was born on March 9, 1949 in Alexander City, Alabama to George Clarence Williams, Sr. and Lucile Chappell Williams. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing the piano and organ and was very artistic. George worked as a display designer for Parisian’s Department Store in Birmingham and Decatur. He also worked as a caterer. He had a love for animals, especially dogs. He was a very giving person who never met a stranger. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his sister, Martha Williams Smith of Alexander City; niece, Leigh Ellen Scott of Alexander City, great-nephew, Blake Nolen Dean; great nieces, Elle Dean and Gracy Dean; and numerous cousins and friends.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anita Gracy and Brother-in- law, Ewell Smith; and Lifelong Partner, J.B. Icard.\r\n\r\nThe family requests no flowers and memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church 310 Green Street, Alexander City, AL 35010 or to the Lake Martin Humane Society.\r\n
