Mr George "Buddy" Sorrell's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. George “Buddy" Sorrell, 85, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Marshall Griffin will be officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Sorrell passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Chapman Healthcare Center. He was born on August 23, 1939, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Jack Hammond Sorrell and Georgia Arlene Stewart Sorrell.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Winston (Stacey) Sorrell of Prattville; daughter, Shelia Diane (Mark) Sprayberry of Wetumpka; grandchildren, Whitney Sorrell (Zach) Crumpton, Jackson Ray (Heather) Sorrell, Patrick Corbin (Callie) Sprayberry, Jesse ( Fiancé Matthew Thompson) Sprayberry; great-grandchildren, Taitley Deavers, Millie Allyson Sorrell, Lincoln Sorrell, Laylon Crumpton, Logan Crumpton, Landon Crumpton, Sylvie Sprayberry and niece, Debra (Lamar) Perry.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Maureen Foreman Sorrell; granddaughter, Allyson Leigh Sorrell; parents and sister, Edna Earl Thornton.
