Mr. Bagley passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was born on September 26, 1953 in Alexander City, Alabama to Austin Bagley and Sara Shurette Bagley.
George was one of a kind. He was a family man, being an amazing husband, daddy, brother, and Paw Paw with his grandchildren being the light of his life and he never met a stranger. His grandchildren loved to go to Paw Paw's to swim, play, help in the garden, and build things which these memories will be cherished forever. George made the world a better place and was always the life of the party when we were all together. He was proud to be a Christian and loved to serve the Lord. Being a jack of all trades, he could build anything and fix anything that was broken. George was an avid Alabama football fan "Roll Tide!" He loved to travel the country, was very patriotic and loved his Country with an unwavering love for the American Flag. Often you would see George in a patriotic shirt no matter what time of the year.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sherry Bagley; daughters, Shanna Thompson (Daniel), Amber Patillo (Karl), and Jessica Baker (Jared); son, Austin Barclift; eleven grandchildren; sister, Sue Peoples (Terry); brothers, Charles Bagley (Sharon) and John Paul Bagley (Cheri); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Bagley; parents; sister, Carolyn Stafford; and brother, James Bagley.
George Bagley will be missed so much and there is a void in our hearts that can't be filled. Until we meet again...
