Glynn was born on December 13, 1952 in Alexander City. He graduated from Benjamin Russell where he excelled in sports (especially basketball). He spent most of his working years at Russell, where he made many lifelong friends; both at work and through softball.
Glynn went on to spend many years living in Birmingham which he really loved. While those were some of his best years, he was really happy to move back home. After returning to Alexander City, he worked many years for the Hotel at Auburn University. being an avid Auburn fan, as well as a people person, made him the perfect person for the job.
Friends and family were the world to Glynn, and he made sure they all knew. He truly enjoyed life, and made sure everyone around him did as well.
Glynn is survived by his mother, Helen Martin; daughters, Tiffany Bishop (Tony) and Brittany Martin; grandchildren, Jake Malik Bishop (Laney), Surrender Alexis Bishop, Brinton Parmer, Bryson Martin, and Brock Martin; siblings, Terry Martin (Ellen), Jerry Martin (Donna), and Linda Windsor (Daniel); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the ICU staff at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown; especially Dr. Crawford, Dr. Singh, and Dr. Peykova.
