Mrs. Frances Gail Bohannon's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Frances Gail Bohannon, 84, of Goodwater, Alabama, will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2:30 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Fain will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenview Cemetery in Goodwater, AL. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Gail Bohannon, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Gail was born on January 9, 1939, in Eclectic, Alabama, and peacefully passed away on August 15, 2023, in Sylacauga, Alabama. Gail was a loving and kind soul, who lived a life of selfless dedication to her family, friends, and community.
Gail was the embodiment of warmth and kindness. Her life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. She was a woman of many talents and passions. Gail was particularly renowned for her wonderful banana pudding, a treat that was eagerly anticipated at every family gathering. Her love for cooking was only matched by her passion for singing specials in church, where she touched many hearts with her soulful voice. An avid fisher, Gail found joy and serenity in the tranquility of nature.
Gail was also a master at crocheting, a skill she honed over many years. Her intricate and beautiful creations were treasured gifts to those lucky enough to receive them. They remain a testament to her patience, creativity, and dedication.
Gail is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, William "Buddy" R. Bohannon of Goodwater, Alabama. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her son, David Bohannon (Kristy), and daughter, Kelli Marshal (Sandy). Gail's memory will continue to live on in her grandchildren, Jakob "Jake" Bohannon, Ashton Bohannon, Kacey Marshal, and Zachary "Zach" Marshal. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bobby Lee Bohannon (Emily), sister-in-law, Alva Rene Haynes, and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Wilson.
Gail was preceded in death by her father, Oren Clyde Haynes, mother, Frances Alice Haynes, brother, Kenny Clyde Haynes, and brothers-in-law, J.P. Bohannon and Jerry Bohannon. While her loss is deeply felt, the memories of her love, kindness, and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Gail Bohannon's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and selflessness. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends.
