Mrs. Fran T. Jordan's Obituary
Mrs. Fran Jordan, a beacon of love and generosity, completed her earthly journey on September 2, 2025. Born on January 2, 1956, in Rutherford, Alabama to Dewey Columbus Terry and Jean Smith Terry, Fran's life was a testament to the power of selflessness and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Her radiant smile and boundless compassion were sources of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
Fran's journey began as the beloved daughter of Dewey Columbus Terry and Jean Terry, and although she was preceded in death by her parents and her dear brother, Richard Terry, the legacy of kindness they instilled in her continued to flourish throughout her life. She walked a path of Christian faith, her actions and words always reflecting the love she had for her Savior.
Her life was a symphony of loving moments and altruistic deeds, each note resonating in the hearts of her daughters, Elizabeth (Cody) Skelton of Clanton, AL, and Tiffany A. (Chance) Whittle of Florence, MS. Fran's love for her children knew no bounds, and she instilled in them the values of love, integrity, and compassion. Her legacy is further cherished and will be carried on by her adoring grandchildren, Sterling Skelton, Cooper Whittle, and Salli Jo Whittle, each a shining star in Fran's ever-brightening galaxy.
Fran's sister, Kathryn T. (Jeff) Pinegar, shared a bond with Fran that was unbreakable, a relationship built on mutual respect, laughter, and the kind of support that only siblings can provide. Together, they navigated life's highs and lows, always emerging stronger and with a deeper appreciation for the gift of family.
Fran's life was a masterclass in generosity. She gave not just from her wallet but from her soul, offering her time, energy, and love to anyone in need. Her selflessness was her signature, an indelible mark that she left on the world. She taught us that giving is not just an act, but a way of life, and that the true measure of success is not what we gain, but what we give.
To speak of Fran is to speak of love in action. She approached every day with a heart wide open, ready to embrace the joys and challenges alike. Fran's unwavering positivity was a source of motivation to all, encouraging us to rise above our circumstances and to always seek the good in others.
Today, as we reflect on the life of Mrs. Fran Jordan, we are reminded that our time here is precious and that the love we share is our most enduring legacy. Let us honor Fran's memory by living as she did-with open hearts, open hands, and the unshakeable belief that love is the answer to every question.
Fran's story does not end here; it is etched into the lives of those she touched. Her spirit continues to guide us, urging us to live fully, love deeply, and serve selflessly. In her memory, let us go forth and spread the light that she so freely shared with the world. Fran Jordan's life was a gift to us all, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
