Mrs. Floylene "Lynn" McKenzie's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Floylene "Lynn" McKenzie, 78, of Goldville, will be Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Cragford. Rev. Andy Kinman will officiate.
Mrs. McKenzie passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at her residence. She was born on January 6, 1945 to Baxley Powell and Lessie Mae Jones Powell. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cragford. She loved to cook and made the best cornbread. Lynn enjoyed canning. She liked to travel, go dancing, fishing, and riding in her family's pontoon. Lynn loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Carey McKenzie of Goldville; brother, Coy Powell (Janis) of Goldville; niece, Melissa Jones (Wesley) of New Site; nephews, Keith Powell of Oxford, Ken Powell (Diane) of Goldville, Scott Powell (Tina) of Ourtown, and Vince Powell (Sondra) of Roanoke; numerous great nieces and great nephews; step-son, Michael McKenzie (Kim) of Delta; step-daughter, Michelle Snider (Alan) of Athens, AL; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shelby Jean Powell; and brother, Benny Powell.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Enhabit Hospice for their wonderful care of Mrs. Lynn.
