Mrs. Faye McCollough's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Faye McCollough, 90, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Arnberg will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCollough passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on May 24, 1932, in Wadley, Alabama to Robert Quentin Tidwell and Mary Clema Meigs Tidwell. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and always had ice cream sandwiches for their visits. Faye loved people, had many friends and anytime you saw her she was smiling. Her hobbies included tending her vegetable and rose gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Arnberg (Steve) and Janet Tate (Mark); grandchildren, Benjamin Arnberg, Sellers Tate, Meredith Romano (Luke), Daniel Arnberg (Alana), David Tate; siblings, Jean Wilson, Billy Tidwell (Rita); great-granddaughter, Evelyn Claire Tate; sisters-in-law, Jackie Wesson, Lorene Tidwell, Kati Williamson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jonathan David McCollough; parents; siblings, Harold Tidwell, Mildred Gay, James Tidwell, Gordon Tidwell, and Farrell Tidwell.
The family would like to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to the wonderful staff at Chapman’s Healthcare Center for the excellent care provided to their loved one.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wayside Baptist Church, 21 Wayside Circle, Alexander City, AL, 35010 or a charity of one’s choice.
