Mrs. Funderburk passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on April 12, 1941 in Daviston, Alabama to Otis Shivers and Eva Shivers. She was an active member of Daviston Baptist Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, growing flowers, crafting and listening to gospel music.
She is survived by her Daughters, Melissa Bishop (Junior) of Jackson's Gap, Teresa Hall (Timothy) of Jackson's Gap; Son, Lynn Funderburk (Michelle) of Daviston; Grandchildren, James Funderburk, Eric Hall (Jamie), Michael Hall (DeAnn), Eva Bishop, Hannah Thomas (Brandon), Jordan Funderburk, Ashleigh Bishop; Great-grandchildren, Logan Funderburk, Cayden Funderburk, Collin Funderburk, Alex Hall, Andrew Baker, Kris Baker (Ashley), Charlie Bishop Tucker, Alyssa Bishop,Aiden Johnson; Great great-grandchildren, Skyla Baker, Layla Baker; Sisters Jean Hayes and Shirley Haynes.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Wayne Funderburk; Son, Barry Funderburk; Daughter, Beverly Funderburk; Grandchild, Angel Michelle Funderburk; parents; Sister, Annie Whitehead; Brothers, Clyde Shivers, Gladston Shivers, Didge Shivers and Otis Shivers Jr.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Judes Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
A memorial service will be held by the family.
