Eva Elaine Conville, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, in Alexander City, Alabama, at the age of 75. Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on November 4, 1948, Eva was a beacon of love and joy to everyone who knew her.
Affectionately known to friends and family as Eva, she spent her early years in the warm, welcoming community of Tuscaloosa before graduating from Daviston High School. Her work ethic and dedication were evident in her long-standing career as a seamstress in the textile industry, and later as a respected manager at Bill's Dollar Store in Ashland, AL. Eva's professional life was marked by the same warmth and kindness she brought to her personal life.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Eva's true passion lay in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid fisherwoman, finding peace and solace by the water. Yard sales were a favorite weekend activity, where she delighted in discovering treasures and meeting new people. Eva's love for her family was unrivaled, and she poured her heart into every interaction with her cherished children and grandbabies. Her home was a haven filled with laughter, the chatter of loved ones, and the serene presence of her beloved plants and frog collection.
Eva's legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Ronald Ralph Conville, and her sons, Tony (Stacy) Conville and John Conville. Her memory will be treasured by her grandchildren, Jossie Conville, Hannah (Jeremy) Cofield, Matthew Conville, and Savannah (Jacob) Blackmon, as well as her great-grandchildren, Aiden Cofield, Gracie Blackmon, Brooks Blackmon, Kason Cofield, and Jackson Blackmon. She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters, Emma Jean Shivers, Sheila (Gary) Vaughn, and Lynita (Andy) Johnson.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Gladys Ferguson; her beloved son, Steven Michael Conville; her brothers, Edward Ferguson, Ellery Dean Ferguson and Eldon Ferguson; and her sister, Ellen Faye Brown. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the impact of her love and kindness will forever remain.
