Mrs. Estean "Tina" Betts Vickers' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Estean “Tina” Betts Vickers, 97, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. David McMichael, Bro. Miles Crouch, and Rev. Shane Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vickers passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Russell Medical. She was born on December 26, 1925, in Nixburg, Alabama, to William Tony Cleveland and Annie Peppers Cleveland. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and attended New Elkahatchee Baptist Church for many years. For many years, she worked at Russell Corporation #1 and then ran a daycare at her home. She enjoyed going and was always up for a trip to Walmart. She was an excellent cook and baker and was known for her coconut cakes and banana pudding. She always looked forward to the family reunion, and she loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Frank Vickers of Jacksons Gap; daughters: Sarah Ann Freeman and Wanda Jean Harris (Russell) of Alexander City; sons: Kenneth M. Betts (Debra) of Jacksons Gap and William Wade Betts (Janet) of Goodwater; step-daughter, Mary Krummel (Jason) of Jacksons Gap; special nephew, Barry Stough (Kim); grandchildren: Tracey Lynn Morris (Ben), Bryan Patterson (Denean), Donna Prophitt, Julia Murray (Neal), Clint Betts, Bradley Betts (Amy), Amy Thorpe (Jarrod), Gregory Alan Betts (Morgan), Tiffany Waller (Joe), Oliva Stough, Evan Stough, Kristy Coley, Randall Sims, Jr., Antonio Towns, and Vicker Falcon; great-grandchildren: Danielle Morris, Jacob Patterson, Cody Patterson, Emilly Smith (Curtis), Ferris Voss (Brian), Zack Jones, Emma Gail Betts, Hayden Betts, Noah Thorpe, Hannah Thorpe, Jonah Thorpe, Kate Thorpe, Kenneth Reeves Waller, Henry Morgan Betts, Jakya Sims, and Jakyrie Sims; and great-great-grandchildren, Caroline Smith and Easton Voss.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clemmie M. Betts; and brothers, William Cleveland, Woodrow Cleveland, Alfred Cleveland, and Obie Cleveland.
