Mrs. Essie Hope Burnett's Obituary
Funeral Service for Essie Hope Burnett, 87, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the West End Baptist Church. Rev. Donald DeLee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Russell Farms Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Burnett passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Adams Nursing Home. She was born on August 30, 1929 in Shelby County, Alabama to Andrew Jackson Davis and Margie Lee Davis. She was an active member of West End Baptist Church. Mrs. Burnett was a genuine, loving and caring woman who loved the Lord and her family deeply. She enjoyed dancing, holidays and watching wrestling on television.
She is survived by her children, Linda Holman of GA, James Hope (Nellie) of Alexander City, Annette Brewster (Danny) of Alexander City; grandchildren, Donnie Holman (Tina), Mendy Yawn (Michael), Jimmy Hope, Scotty Moore (Beth), Kevin Moore (Anna), Shannon Hope, Khristen Rogers (Josh), Brooke Hope, Amy Baker (Will), Christopher Hope (Morgan), Jonathan Lawhorn, Justin Lawhorn (Kristina), Blake Brewster (Candice), Tyler Brewster, and Meghan Cassiano (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Bailee Holman, Carlee Holman, Landon Daniel, Amber Hope, Maria Moore, Austin Moore, Kevin Moore Jr., Larkin Moore, Kendall Smith, Marley Dye, Canaan Hope, Sarah Baker, Madison Baker, Jon Sawyer Lawhorn, Saylor Lawhorn, Carson Bishop, and Adalyn Brewster, Jaxon Cassiano; and sister, Joyce Jones.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Chapman Hope; husband, Willie Burnett; son, Johnny Michael Hope; parents; sister, Nesbie Mask, brothers, Walter Davis, Floyd Davis, James Davis, Horace Davis and J.D. Davis.
