Mrs. Ellie Jo Tharpe's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Ellie Jo Tharpe, 79, of Cleveland, Tennessee, will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Tharpe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tharpe passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland. She was born on November 30, 1941 in Evergreen, Alabama to Charles Wesley Morris and Eloise Lorene Cowart Morris. She was a strong Christian and loved her family dearly. Mrs. Tharpe lived her last few years in nursing home and touched a lot of lives with her faith. She could be very hard headed at times but also very loving.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Lee; son, Eugene Tharpe II (Randy Kilgore); daughter, Melissa Tharpe; grandchildren, Chris Lee (Courtney), Mekayla Cronan LaBree (Riley), and Breyona Cronan Roberts (Jaden); great-grandchildren, Angel Lee, Avorie Lee, Trinity Cronan, and Tynslee Roberts; sisters, Elizabeth Lindsay (Buddy) and Eloise Allgood (Mike); and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Tharpe; granddaughters, Nichole and Amber Lee; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lee, Riley LaBree, Ronnie Tharpe, Lynn Thomas, David Tilley, and Steve Jones.
